See your living room renovated, one change at a time

Upload a living room photo and try new finishes, lighting, or a fireplace surround. RenoLuma lists a planning range for each visible installed change; movable furniture is shown but not priced.

Living room before renovation, with vertical blinds, bulky seating, a brick fireplace, beige walls, wood trim, and a hardwood floor.
The same living room after a warm renovation, with a stone fireplace, plaster walls, linen curtains, brass lighting, and the original windows, openings, fireplace, and wood floor.

Mark what should stay in place

The fireplace, openings, and floor still control the scope even when the rest of the room is mostly finishes. Mark them before you render.

  • The fireplace opening and hearth

Protect the firebox, flue, and hearth position while trying another surround. Moving the opening adds work that a finish-only range does not cover.

  • The window wall

Keep the glazing, sill, header, and opening in place while changing the treatment, trim, wall color, or nearby built-ins.

  • The floor plane

The pictured floor refinish is $600 to $1,800. Mark the floor as staying when you want the cost list to cover refinishing instead of replacement.

What the pictured changes may cost

This pictured living room keeps the openings and floor plane while changing finishes, lighting, and the fireplace surround. The fireplace is its largest line item.

These planning ranges apply to the pictured room and its visible changes. Your photo gets its own list. A contractor still has to measure and quote the work.

Change one surface and keep the rest of the version

A direction may get the fireplace right but miss the sofa wall, or choose the right stone and the wrong lighting.

Circle the part you want changed and describe the correction. RenoLuma finds the surface around the mark, generates alternatives, and replaces that area in the selected version. A completed refinement uses one credit.
